Alan was home and helped mix the colors, taught David and Ethan how to roll the dough and even made them bow ties...aren't they dashing?

It was great fun and I plan to make homemade finger paints one of these days...we'll see how THAT goes.
p.s. I haven't been reading recipes so well lately. The first time I messed up on something was homemade bread. Admittedly, I read the recipe correctly, I just should have questioned it. I mean, who puts 3 TABLESPOONS of salt into a 1.5 lb loaf? Seriously, it was salty! And the first batch of play dough I tried to make called for 1/2 TBS of oil and how did I read it? Oh ya, I put in 1/2 CUP. Good thing my husband remembers his mom making play dough when he was a kid and had me look at the recipe again. Gosh. I used to be so attentive to details like that. Where oh where has my brain gone?

I'll have to try it...is it cheaper than buying cheap play-doh? We are HUGE on play-doh around this house! Is this really their first PD experience? How cool for them it was home made with love =)
p.s. you forgot to leave us the recipe or a link ;)
They are adorable!
You could let them finger paint with pudding. Yummy!
Oh the joys of play dough! They're so blasted cute:)
Argh, Diane took my suggestion! Finger painting with pudding is GREAT--then you lick your creation. You can also make peanut butter playdough--eat what you make. Recipes abound on the internet--I've never done it though. Cute boys!
You are just so cute, and so are your boys!
That looks like so much fun! By the way, I checked out your etsy shop and your stuff is way cute!!
They're getting so big!
I know where your brain went...the same place all of our brains went when we had kids...Never never to returnland. :P
Laura

I heard of an edible playdough recipe on "jon and Kate plus 8" If i find it, I will email it to you.
Your boys are so dashing in their bowties. :)
