I'm Back!

My trip to Arizona was short but oh-so-sweet! I had such a great time seeing my cousins and aunt and uncle. I wish it could have been longer, but it was certainly better than nothing. Alan and the boys did wonderful without me, though we were definitely all excited and happy to see each other when I got back. I went for my cousin Jake's open house and it was the first time I got to meet his wife, Rachel, as well as the first time I got to meet my cousin James' wife, Paula. Both girls are awesome and I so, so wish we were able to get together more often. I was the un-official (super un-official) photographer for the night so I took lots of shots...here are some of my favorites...

Jacob telling us how he proposed. So cute, but I can't do it justice. Let's just say he hid the ring in a shell on the beach and they "just happened" to come across it. :)

The day was absolutely perfect (albeit WAY too hot for this semi-coastal California girl) up until about 15 minutes before the night was supposed to start. The wind got super strong and we were worried we would have to stay indoors. Luckily, everything calmed down not too long after the party started. I'm not used to such drastic weather changes in such a short time. Check out those palm fronds!!
