Like Mother, Like Son

Once upon a time, a young college-aged girl (dressed in oh-so-cool overalls from the 90’s) spilled her chocolate quik all over the kitchen floor. It was traumatic to say the least…

Aw blast it all I spilled my quikoh such a sad day - why I ask you - why

Fast forward 12 years.

Once upon a time, a young toddler-aged little man spilled all of his strawberry quik on the floor. It was so, so far beyond traumatic to say the least…

Quik disaster 1

There were many, MANY tears. From both the toddler who spilled the quik as well as his brother who is very empathetic and felt the pain as though it had happened to himself…even though said brother would not be drinking strawberry quik, but chocolate quik from the carton that didn’t spill. LOTS of tears from both little men. After a short super long explanation that “these things happen” and “be more careful and let mama help” and “we’ll buy more, I promise!! Please stop crying!!!” the little man took responsibility and cleaned up the mess. With coaxing from his mother of course…

A new carton of strawberry quik has been purchased.

All is right with the world.

The end.

Oh me, oh my! The drama. I love it. Poor David. He does indeed look very distraught. All that yumminess on the floor, I'd be sad too.

I LOVED seeing those pictures. Totally took me back. You know that is one of my favorite memories of you--that and us running with snotsicles during fabulously COLD Rexburg winters.

Best wishes with this next phase KTB(S).

Wow. Loved seeing these pics, too. Glad you have passed on your QUIK love. I have loved catching up on you here and love what you are doing with the baby room. Congrats on the new house - it looks great. You are so creative. Miss you and wish you the best with her arrival. So exciting!
