Dresser Re-do

We have a dresser that I deemed mine…all mine…I quickly filled it with tons and tons of crafting stuff. It’s kind of ridiculous how full it is considering our small living quarters, however, I still have a ridiculous amount that still isn’t fitting in here. Anyway, it’s been through a lot over the years, it lived with Alan at school, then with our friends Lynn and Dev, then when they needed some extra space and no longer were using it, we (me) happily took it back. It has been this ugly, boring, beat up, blah-ness for quite a while…

No longer however!! A while back I signed up to get a free quart of Glidden paint and I chose “Deepest Aqua”. I’m a big fan of aqua right now, not sure why, but I’m drawn to it! It was actually quite dark however, so I mixed the entire quart with a quart of white. It turned into the perfect shade:) Not too bright, not too shocking. Just perfect. The pictures below really do not do it justice. The lighting is horrific, but, you get the idea. If our plans to buy a house ever come together (ugh, such a headache), this lovely little dresser will have its own brightly, naturally lit very own craft/sewing room!!! Yay!! Imagine that!!!!

dresser re do 3   I tend to sigh with happiness every time I see it:)

I am sighing too! It looks so good and what a great storage for craft stuff. Mine is all over our basement, or as we refer to it, OUR CAVE!. And I mean everywhere! :)
The color is gorgeous!

I love aqua too! I don't know if it would work or not, but have you thought about putting knobs on it? We're trying to sell our place and looking to get into a house too and I can't wait to have a dedicated crafting space. Where are you guys looking? Are you looking at an FHA loan? I think house hunting is going to be a slow, frustrating process for us.
