Stinkin' scale

Why oh why do I feel like eating everything in sight when I know I'm heading to a doctor's appointment in less than hour where I'll be stepping on the infamous scale to await judgment from my nurse and doctor?!?! Ah!! I purposely schedule morning appointments AND plan my outfits around stepping on that scale. Even with it being chilly outside, I'm wearing a skirt and flip flops...and the zip up hoodie I'm wearing? Oh that will be in my purse when I step up to that scale. Silly? Probably. But does it make me feel better? Sure does. In reality, I'm pretty sure I don't really have anything to worry about in the weight department, but I still dread that stinkin' scale. If all goes well, I may just make myself a milkshake later today:)

haha...you're funny. what you really should do is make it look like you weigh more at the doctors. then after you have the baby you can go dress in a skirt and flops and be like, "see? i've lost so much after the baby!"

LOL, I know, I HATED weighing myself at my prenatals. I gained way more than I wanted. It was especially hard at the end when I was gaining quicker than I could blink. But, at least I have a big healthy baby to show for it.

So true Brooke! Maybe if I weren't still carrying around the twins baby weight I would feel more ok doing that. As it stands right now, I did great this past month and will be enjoying a fabulous milkshake later this afternoon:)

Yes, the dreaded scale. I have to smile because I always try to dress "light" when I have to go to the doctor's. The scales there always seem to add an extra 3-5 lbs. more than the home scale. But at least you are supposed to be gaining weight. :) Enjoy that fabulous milkshake. You deserve it!

I think it's a mind game for all pregnant women! :) But for me this time around, I get to blame most of the weight gain on the polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid). So that at least makes me happy! :)

I have an appointment tomorrow, and told myself I had to be really good this week. I didn't want to see a huge number. Any other week, I could care less...ha.
