When I ask the boys what kind of birthday party they want, I'm told by Ethan, "I want a BLUE party!" and David tells me, "I want a GREEN party!" Soooo, what would you do with those kind of answers? I'm not going to be doing anything crazy, but I do want to make it fun. Any suggestions would be great!

Anything that involves balloons always seems to be a hit! Like, just blowing up a bunch of balloons and letting them hit them. Our neighbors used to take the extra large balloons and fill them with water, just enough so they were the size of a small water balloon. The kids loved playing with them and they didn't pop as easily as regular water balloons...but since it it winter, water might not be the best thing. Sorry. Paper airplanes are always a hit with boys. Treasure hunts, obstacle courses seem to be a lot of fun at that age, too. Can't wait to see what you do. I have a birthday for my soon to be 4 yr old next month. Maybe I'll have to still some ideas!
Blue and green! Invite the guests wear those colors, make blue and green cupcakes, maybe a bouncy house, and you're done! I'm all about the 'less is more' theory, though every year I say I'm going to go all out. Going all out, in my head, requires a lot of money for the ideas I have! :)
I make it just that...a blue and green party. Have the guests wear blue and green. Blue and green balloons. Blue and green cupcakes. Blue and green ice cream. (Food coloring in the vanilla ice cream) Blue and green table cloths. Blue and green wrapping paper. They asked for it! :)
I agree with less is more. use the colors. blue balloons and green balloons tied to their chairs with blue icing and green icing on their personal cakes/cupcakes. get them new shirts in their colors. bam, you're done.
Blue and Green? Sounds like a perfect Seattle Seahawks football party! :)
(Yes, I live in WA. But really I'm an old 49er fan).
Lots of great ideas. I know no matter what you decide to do, the boys will have a blast!
NINJA TURTLES! With blue bandannas!
