Alan’s first day of work!!

Alan has been at his new job for a whole 6 hours now!! I hope it’s going well. He looked spiffy in his suit and tie, so I of course had to take a picture:)
Al's first day 1

David and Ethan came out to wave bye to daddy and were thankfully super cheerful about it (the goodbye part). They’ve been quite lucky the last two weeks and were with daddy constantly. I was worried that today was going to be hard, but it’s been fine so far. It probably helps that David and Ethan are beyond stoked to have 4 of their cousins staying with us. They LOVE cousins!!
Al's first day 2 Ethan How cute is this little man? Even with his banged up little nose:)
Al's first day 3 boys waving goodbyeWaving bye to daddy….
We have been so blessed over the last year and a half. When we moved in with my parents, we figured we had enough savings to last maybe a year. We made it a full 18 months and spent our last dollar or two this past weekend—no joke. We won’t be getting a pay check for about 2 weeks, but we have other money set aside (for a home…perhaps one day) so we’ll be okay. We 100% know that had we not been paying our tithing (for those odd moments when we had a job or some source of income), things would not have turned out the same.
Al's first day 4

Love you sweetheart!! Thanks for taking such great care of our family!!!

Congratulations to you both! I'm so impressed you had savings for a dang year!!! I know its easier said than done to follow the advice of the Prophet, but it looks like you have and its definitely been a blessing. You guys are such an inspiration. Congratulations again!!!

Yeah Alan! Good job on the budget Katie...and living at home. That's huge. I couldn't live with my mom for one day let alone 18 months, ha ha. We're lucky if we make it a week when she comes to visit ;).

Ok, what's up with the drop shadows? are you PS editing and saving them that way, then uploading to blogger? of course I noticed...attention to details my dear - or just OCD, ah ha

Thanks Robin:)

I discovered the greatest way to write and post a blog! It's called Windows Live writer--I downloaded it yesterday and love it already! I'm still learning how to use it some, but it's so simple! You can choose drop shadows as one of the options for your photos. SO COOL!!
