Hallelujah!

Last night, the boys were asleep by 7:30 and they didn't wake up until 7:10 this morning!! That is truly the best night of sleep they have had since they were born 18 months ago and most likely my best night of sleep since then too! David has been waking up in the middle of the night (multiple times) off and on for the last couple of weeks just screaming his little head off. I think he's been having nightmares and it makes me feel so bad for him. As much as I hate that he has bad dreams, I relish the moments that I get to rock him and cuddle with him. Both he and Ethan rarely let us hug them for more than half a second these days so any little hug is precious to me.

p.s. I love being a mom...just thought I would throw that out there:)

Lincoln had the night scares too, right around the age of your boys. It took him a few weeks to grow out of it, but they do eventually. But it sure takes a lot out of you when they are going through it, that's for sure! Hang in there, that too, shall pass :)

AMEN! good thing you blogged it b/c it probably won't happen much... but maybe, just maybe it's a new trend. For everyones sake, I am hoping it is. My boys were never 12 hour sleepers - more like 10 and if I'm lucky 11. But I do get great naps. So, yeah for you! I hope you went to bed early and got tons of sleep too =)

funny thing is - the earlier you put them down the better and longer they sleep. has to do with stress hormones. crazy, but it works. good job mom!
