Goin' CrAzY

Dear David and Ethan,

Please enlighten me with a {BEYOND AMAZING} reason for the 5:50 a.m. wake up, the short morning nap and the completely forgone afternoon nap. Do we {meaning: YOU BOYS} not understand that when those three occurances are put together it makes for EXTRA cranky babies and a "I'm-at-my-wit's-end" mother?!? Seriously. Something needs to change. And it's not me.

Love,
Mommy

p.s. I love you a million times over

I've jumped aboard the crazy train and let me tell you, it's driving me bananas!! I may be entering an insane asylum later tonight...thankfully bedtime for the crazy inducing little munchkins is just 40 minutes away...I can do it, I can do it, I can do it...chug, chug...at least--I think I can, I think I can...

p.s. The boys are now in bed and I MORE than deserve the huge 'ol glass of Quik I'm drinking right now. By golly, I'm enjoying it.

5:50am? That's SLEEPING IN at my house! Feel better now???? But really - you're not alone sister. As soon as they go to bed, leave the house and go work out!!!! I'd tell you to drink a beer, but well, you know. LOL Hang in there girl, you're a good mom.

Dear Mommy,
It's because we are crazy monkeys.

For reals, I almost ended up in the asylum today too. If Kenley hadn't been running a 103+ fever yesterday I would've called one of my friends to watch my kids today, that's how crazy they were making me. And I'm smack in the middle of 48 hours without James. I wish I had a huge glass of Quik right now.

~*~Off to rummage for some well-deserved chocolate~*~

Totally with you! Today was thankfully not one of those for me. But the past month has been! Ick!! Go you with you Quik! Chocolate always helps me too. Total comfort drink.

totally been there. done that with my two. there were days where i would put them in their cribs and let them both cry together in the same room and i would step out in the back yard and day why do people do this over and over! i figured that their cribs were a safe, contained place for them and there were two of them in the same room since they were twins so hey, at least they had each other in their misery for company. and no one ever died from crying that i know of. after a few mintues or more of fresh air i would go back in and hold tight until they fell asleep. when the husband got home--it was my turn to cry. just one of those few really hard mom days with twins.
but i gotta tell you -- now that they are four---those days are so few and far between that i think, hum, maybe i could do this again. maybe.

having a great laugh about the quick... next best thing to beer I guess! OMG so funny! Hope you had a good night of sleep. I would've come over to watch them while you went to workout, but Mike was gone at the gym =0. You need to find a teenage that will come watch TV after they fall asleep so you can leave - when you do, call me and give me her number!

Oh Katie, my heart goes out to you!! There's nothing worse than a mom who needs a break and can't get one! I hope they're extra good today and take long naps and even go to bed early. Good luck!

I fear I may never get off the crazy train...I just keep chugging away! Don't we all wonder what our little people are thinking?! I hope they sleep in for you and take extra long naps for the next week!

seriously... it's probably the crazy inferno weather. My kids AND I get weird with the heat. Spray bottles are great for those days! I totally feel your pain, and it's so worse with two of 'em, tag teaming you all the time!

I am gearing up for some of those days and nights . . . Chocolate always does help, huh!?

Your boys are so cute but I have to tell ya....I don't miss that stage. I love babies till about 14 months and then 3 years and up! Just remember these times don't last forever and enjoy the happy times so you can forget about the bad!

I noticed the books you have read on your sidebar and wondered if you had a favorite I could read to recomend to my bookclub??

Cara--have you read any of Shannon Hale's books before? LOVE her books! they are classified as young adult, but they are so fun and engagin and well written. I would recommend Goose Girl or Princess Acadmemy to start off with. Don't let the name Priness Academy throw you off, it's a great book!

Katie, I think all parents have written that letter in their heads AT LEAST once. But seeing it was SO GREAT! Thanks for sharing your misery in such a fun way--wish we could help make it better. Also, we've stayed on the Crazy Train, and I don't see an end in sight--guess we might as well keep each other company!
