Alan issued me (and him too) a challenge today. This is it: to see if I can go one entire day without calling our boys "Stinkers". As in, "Come here you little stinker!" yelled while Ethan runs away naked as a jay bird OR "Oh you little stinkers--that is NOT okay to do!" shouted as both boys are climbing on separate end tables next to the couch where my mom's favorite lamps reside.
I so did NOT start the challenge this evening seeing as Ethan climbed onto one of the end tables while I was in the other room, knocked the lamp off and then looked at me innocently when I came sprinting in to the room to see if he was alright and what damage had been done. Oh let me tell you, he is a BIG TIME STINKER!!! But, it's only 7:06 p.m. and both boys are asleep in their cribs so he has redeemed himself at least a little. Hallelujah! I am now off to try and fix the lamp before my mother returns home. Wish me luck....
p.s. It's 7:39 and the lamp is fixed. I can now breathe easy, relax and drink me some Quik.

Oh I need to take on that challenge too. =) I really think we should get our kids together. I can only imagine the chaos that would result. It would make for some great blog posts. =)
Sounds like an interesting challenge! haha. I love your new background!
Hmmmm.....twin toddlers or twin teens--which is harder? It's a good challenge--good luck! At least they're cute! Quik is a great reward. When I'm having a hard day, Robert always knows it because I ask, "can we have Vodka for dinner?" That's a joke, because we DON'T drink (of course). But it lets him know that I'm about to the end of my rope.
hm, what about singing the "bad babies" song by sandra boynton?

LOL, I love that you have an addiction to Quik, it's so cute! I have a hard time with the tough love thing too. I think it's hard when you are with your kids 24/7 with no break except nap time, and even then it's at the whim of WHEN they will fianlly fall ASLEEP, dangit! So I hear ya.
Oh yeah, about the stroller, yeah I'm still totally interested, we;ve just been dealing with a lot lately and it hasn't been in the forefront. I'll call you eventually!
Can't "stinkers" be looked at as a term of endearment? I hope you enjoyed your Quick. It sounds like you totally deserved it.
I think little boys that age are stinkers (and quite often). I call Gage a stinker as well.
hope your challenge goes well.
what's wrong with stinker???? I think it's cute =)
we say rascal! --- Just replace the word - does that count?!
I wouldn't be able to do it! Good for you for trying.
I read this post a couple days ago and I've been trying to work on this too. Thanks for the idea!
