Question: Who played in a metal/rock band in high school? Me? or Alan? It's a toss up, I know.
These pics are about 10 years old...we were just little babies back then:)
And just for fun, I had to throw the picture above in. (Check out Al's hair!) I smile every time I look at it. This is Alan and his best friend, Dev. They've known each for just about forever and are still best friends. Dev played guitar and vocals in their band, Legacy, and Alan played the bass guitar. (Did I spoil it for you? Did you really think it was ME that played in the rock band? I do look like a rock star, don't I?) What's even better is that Dev and his wife, Lynn are in the same ward as us so we get to hang out often. In fact, Lynn and her little baby girl are coming over in about an hour to hang out, chat, play, and eat. Good times:)
And one more fun one. Alan was quite the artist back in high school. He honed his skills during math, science, english...any time during class really. He drew me lots of fun pictures too. I'll have to post one some day, they're beautiful! For now though, here is his drawing of Legacy.

That is so much fun! Love the pic of Al and Dev. They pretty much look the same, minus hair. Good times! (PS- Love your b-day countdown...you did it!)

This is too funny! Pictures like these are the first pictures I remember seeing of Al. I remember thinking woa! my cousin is a real rocker. Then the next time I saw him and "re-met" him he was like the most kind hearted person in the world...not what I expected from the pictures. :)
i'm fairly certain that one of Al and Dev is pretty much the best picture in the world.
I am the wife of one of Alan's old mission companions. (aaron Brown). We both loved the pictures. My husband told me he used to be a rocker, but I didn't believe it until I saw your pictures. I also wanted to tell you that I love your quote by president Hinckley and I may have to steal it. I hope you don't mind.

I'm voting for Al's hair/beard to return - I love it! And NO, you didn't fool me with that sweet little smile sitting at the drums - you're so not a rocker =). You should ask Al to sketch a picture of the boys, that would be sweet!
You guys should come over and play Rock Band with us some time.
