I decided to be crazy and take the boys to Disneyland all by myself! My friend Tanya, has twins just 5 days older than my boys, along with a daughter a little older than them and since she is capable of doing it by herself, I figured I could too (and with 1 less child!). I had been wanting to go one last time before they hit the magic number of 3 (when we have to start paying for them) and so we went the day before their birthday. It seriously turned out to be so fun! David and Ethan were so good nearly the entire time, probably 98% of the time and we stayed for about 8 hours. Impressive if I do say so myself! I like to get there right when California Adventure opens so we can go on the Toy Story ride before it gets way crowded. We rode twice and each time the line was only 5 minutes long…which makes things way easier on me! Later in the day it’s more like a 40 minute wait...completely unreasonable! We also rode the Buzz Light Year ride twice as well as the Rocket ride in Disneyland twice. By the way, that is so not a favorite ride of mine, especially since you go mach speed in a tight little circle floating up and down, up and down. The only reason we went twice was because the “nice” operating man came by and asked the boys if we would like to just stay on after the first ride so they could each have a chance to steer the rocket. I kept my grimace to myself and said, “Oh thank you, that is so nice of you!” Ugh.
I took my little point and shoot camera this time and let me tell you, it was so nice!!!! I was able to slip it in and out of my pocket quick as could be, it didn’t get scratched or banged up like it would have if had it been my big camera, and I was able to capture pictures I most definitely would not have because I had it! Saying that, I definitely LOVE my big camera! (I can’t have Alan thinking I no longer want it!)
Sporting sweet 3D glasses from the Toy Story ride…
I told David to smile and this is what I got, CUTE!!!
Now if I could just get them to smile at ME, that would be nice.
My boys are big fans of Mater and Lightning!
Such a fun day! I’m not sure I’m ready to do it all alone again any time soon, but I’m glad I was brave and did it! I have a lot of great memories from that day!

Super FUN!
It's amazing to me that you can just hop in your car and go to Disneyland on any given day. :)
