Yay! Check out what I did yesterday! This is my first quilt to make it this far in the sewing process. I’ve sewn together other squares for a small quilt as well as strips of fabric for another small quilt, but this is the first one to actually get borders around it! I’m so excited! I’ll be heading to the fabric store today to get my backing and possibly a bigger self healing mat…mine is just a bit too small to be cutting long lengths of fabric. This is definitely a good beginning quilt, I’m not following a pattern and I bought the squares already cut—making it so much easier on me! I’ll try cutting out my own squares another time:D I still have 3 more borders to add and then I have to figure out how to do the binding on the outside…not sure how that’s gonna go for such a newbie!! Wish me luck!

Yay! It looks great. Remember, if you need help...I love to talk quilts!
Wow..you have much more patience than me. Nice work!
I love quilts (although I do not love to sew). The quilt is fabulous! You are doing a great job.
Try fusible binding; it's the lazy woman's best friend! It's the kind that bonds with heat, so you basically iron your backing and quilted front together. It's awesome!
Forgot to mention, I love the fabric patterns and colors!
Love the colors!
