Um, whose bed do you think this is?

So two nights ago my little David decided to SCREAM his head off multiple times throughout the night beginning at 2:37 a.m. Yes, that was the exact time, I keep track of these things. I got up and rocked with him, soothed him (he sometimes has bad dreams) and layed him back down. He whimpered a bit, but I was able to leave his room, crawl back into bed and fall asleep for approximately 15 minutes before the scream came again. This time Alan went in. Rocked, soothed, came back to bed. The next time it happened was sometime in the 3:00 hour. I went in and did the routine all over. The next time it happened, Alan went in and I guess David was at his breaking point--screaming like there was no tomorrow. I was so dazed that I drifted off and didn't hear anything until Alan got back in bed. I was thinking, "Good job Al for getting him to quiet down, let's hope he stays that way this time!". I didn't realize until about a half hour later that he brought David into bed with us. Surprisingly, David was pretty good--not too wiggly, although Alan might not totally agree. David kept touching his beard (not a real beard, just a day's growth), his arm, pulling his arm hair...not exactly relaxing. I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 6:45 when I heard Ethan loudly proclaiming that he was awake and ready to get up (in the form of happy screaming). Alan jumped out of bed and went to his bedroom. I stayed in bed a while longer and when I was completely awake, noticed that our little David was peacefully asleep--perpindicularly at the top of the bed. I didn't have as much room as I normally have, but was still plenty comfortable. Alan's side of the bed though? Poor guy only had about 10 inches!! David took over our bed! And we have a king size bed! Here's the proof...
Thankfully, there was no screaming last night...and we got to sleep in until 6:20!! That is super late in this household:)

I'm amazed that this is new to you. Hold tight to your space... don't let those boys take over your bed!

used to be a regular occurrence in our house with Jackson... but then I had enough b/c I couldn't sleep through it - THEY BOTH SNORE! So now they have to cuddle in the bunk while I get the whole King to myself =)

what's up with the screaming? ear infection?

When I was little, and I would sleep in my parents bed, I used my mom's bum as a pillow and my dad's back as a foot rest. No wonder my parents didn't let me sleep in there bed very often.....
